An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter magnitude scale hit central Thanh Hoa province's Vinh Loc district early Nov. 7 morning, according to the Institute of Geophysics' Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Centre.

The earthquake also affected neighbouring Yen Dinh district. People living near the epicentre could feel slight vibrations.

While no damage was reported, the quake created a stir among local residents./.
