Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi will operate six additional bus routes from February 2 to 8 to facilitate travel for residents and visitors to the Spring Fair 2026 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Dong Anh commune, according to the municipal Department of Construction.

Under the plan implemented by the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operations Centre, the enhanced services comprise two existing routes (No. 43 and E10) and four supplementary routes, with a total of 34 buses operating 362 trips per day. The routes connect the VEC in four directions, from the city centre and the eastern, western, southern and northern areas of Hanoi.

From the city centre, buses will depart from Kim Ma–Hao Nam (Route 43) and Times City Urban Area (Route E08TC). From the eastern area, services will originate from Ocean Park Urban Area (Route E10). From the west, buses will run from Yen Nghia Bus Station (Route 02TC) and Smart City Urban Area (Route E09TC). The southern route will start at Giap Bat Bus Station (Route 32TC), while the northern route will operate from Noi Bai International Airport (Route E10).

The Hanoi Traffic Management and Operations Centre said that the buses will display an additional sign reading “Bus service to VEC” at the front to make them recognisable for passengers. The enhanced routes will pick up and drop off passengers at terminals and designated stops along their itineraries. Single-trip fares will follow those of the main routes, while monthly passes will be applied in accordance with decisions of the Hanoi People’s Committee.

The Spring Fair 2026 takes place from February 2 to 13 at the VEC in Dong Anh commune of Hanoi, and is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm.

According to the organisers, the fair is a national-level trade promotion event, marking the launch of an annual series of national fairs. It serves as a key highlight in efforts to stimulate consumption, develop the domestic market and promote Vietnamese brands during the Lunar New Year - the Year of the Horse, while fostering investment, trade and cultural connectivity.

The event brings together 2,500 enterprises with 3,000 booths, spanning more than 100,000 square metres of indoor space and over 45,000 square metres outdoors. As a large-scale commercial and service event, the Spring Fair 2026 showcases Vietnamese cultural identity through a range of artistic activities featuring well-known performers.

Designed as a cross-country spring journey, the fair integrates economic, cultural and creative values and is structured into eight thematic zones, including those to showcase products of localities, specialties from across the country, Vietnamese agricultural products, value chains in the textile and garment, leather and footwear, wood processing and handicrafts industries; the traditional Tet space; as well as the zones highlighting Vietnamese culture; and the outdoor zone “Flavours of Spring – Shared Connections”.

Together, these zones create a harmonious picture blending economy, culture, consumption and experience, where Vietnamese products, people and spirit come together to usher in a new spring, spreading confidence and aspirations for national development and integration./.
