Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered the construction ofhigh-speed trains connecting Bangkok with famous tourist sites andinvited the private sector to participate in the project.
ThePrime Minister on February 12 said the high-speed train project fromBangkok to Pattaya or Hua Hin might be a joint venture in aPublic-Private Partnership (PPP). Thai and foreign investors were bothwelcomed, said the premier.
Tracks of the high speed trains are expected to be constructed in parallel with the 1m or 1.453m tracks.-VNA
