Bangkok (VNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is advancing creative tourism by showcasing Bangkok’s vibrant cultural scene through “The Night by Amazing Thailand: Threads of Silk in the Moonlight” event, aiming to promote night tourism and boost the economy.
Running from January 27 to February 7, from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Lumphini Park, the event highlights night-time and experience-based tourism while harnessing Thailand’s cultural heritage as a form of soft power.
The event also seeks to honour the royal legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, particularly her efforts to revive Thai handicrafts and elevate Thai silk on the global stage.
Speaking about the programme, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasised that the agency aims to create tourism experiences that go beyond travel, providing meaningful and memorable moments for visitors.
“The Night by Amazing Thailand” serves as a key mechanism for revitalising night-time tourism and local economies, stimulating spending in areas such as accommodation, dining, retail, and community businesses.
TAT expects the event to become a milestone in enhancing Thailand’s tourism competitiveness. It aims to establish a vibrant, safe, and creative night-time tourism ecosystem that benefits operators at all levels, while reinforcing Bangkok’s image as a world-class destination and supporting the country’s Best Travel 2026 goal./.
