According to the Thua Thien - Hue Deparment of Culture, Sports andTourism, in the first quarter of 2014, the province attracted 650,662tourist arrivals, increasing by 2.3 percent over the same period lastyear.
Of this, foreign arrivals were 271,365, increasing by2.1 percent; domestic 379,397 and 2 percent, and over-night 397,603.
Those tourists spent more than 621 billion VND (29 millionUSD), up 5 percent over the same period last year.
The province plans to receive from 2.8 to 3 million arrivals thisyear, of which foreign tourists will be from 1.2 to 1.3 million,domestic 1.7 to 1.8 million, and over-night 2 million. It also hopes toget a revenue of 2.8 – 2.9 trillion VND, up 16 to 18 percent over thesame period last year.
