Vietnam launches 6th “Make in Viet Nam” digital technology product awards

Hanoi (VNA) - The Ministry of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), held a press conference on September 4 in Hanoi to announce and launch the 2025 “Make in Viet Nam” Digital Technology Product Awards.

According to Nguyen Khac Lich, Director General of the Department of Information Technology Industry, 2025 marks the sixth year of the Awards and the first year they are organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Awards aim to honour exceptional digital technology products that embody Vietnamese intellectual pride and drive comprehensive and inclusive digital transformation across society.

They seek to accelerate the growth of the digital economy, promote digitalisation across sectors, and create breakthroughs in productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness. At the same time, they aim to help Vietnam master core, foundational, and strategic technologies.

The Awards will continue to recognise Vietnamese digital technology products that have achieved success in international markets, contributing to global progress and national prosperity. Notably, this year marks the first time the awards will honour outstanding strategic digital technology products featured in the List of Strategic Technologies and Strategic Technology Products issued under Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg dated June 12, 2025, by the Prime Minister.

The 2025 Awards feature eight categories. The organising committee maintains seven categories from the previous year, replaces one category from the 2024 edition, ‘New digital product’ with a new one: ‘Outstanding strategic digital technology product’. This category covers applications of artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR), cloud, quantum, and big data technologies; blockchain; next-generation mobile network technologies (5G/6G); robotics and automation; and semiconductor technology.

Each award category will include Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Top 10 prizes. Winning digital technology products, solutions, or services (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) will receive a trophy and a certificate of recognition, while those ranked in the Top 10 will be presented with a certificate of recognition.

According to the organisers, applications will be accepted from September 4, 2025, to October 22, 2025. Between September 4 and October 4, 2025, enterprises may register preliminarily and receive guidance from the Standing Agency of the Awards to prepare their dossiers in accordance with the regulations. Applications can be submitted online via the Awards’ official portal at: giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in December 2025 as part of the National Forum on the Development of Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises./.
