Thetwo news agencies will increase the exchange of photo and multimedianews and work together in training human resources. Kyodo News willprovide Japanese language training to VNA reporters and vice versa.
Theyalso agreed to study the possibility for organising field trips fortheir reporters to cover specific subjects and important events in theother country and assisting each other in expanding information marketin respective countries.
At a meeting with Japanese Minister ofEconomy, Trade and Industry Yukio Edano the same day, the VNA chief saidas the Vietnamese Government’s official channel, the VNA will exert itsutmost to promote mutual understanding between the two peoples andcontributing to accelerating the two countries’ comprehensive relations,particularly in economic cooperation.
For his part, MinisterEdano highlighted the potential for expanding bilateral ties in thecoming time, adding that the combination of Vietnam’s young humanresources and Japanese technology will facilitate the two countries’effective cooperation and development.
He said the cooperation between VNA and Kyodo News is useful in promoting bilateral ties.
The VNA General Director was also received by member of the Japanese House of Councillors Yoshito Sengoku on March 26.
Sengoku,who is also acting president of the Democratic Party of Japan PolicyResearch Committee, spoke highly of Vietnam’s development potentials andmade recommendations on how to promote the country’s economicdevelopment.
During the visit to Japan from March 25-30, VNAGeneral Director Loi is scheduled to hold working sessions with leadersof Hiroshima and Kyoto cities and major dailies in these localities.-VNA
