The economic bond between Vietnam and Germany is expected to be elevated via the ongoing three-day trade fair featuring Vietnamese handicrafts and fine arts which will wrap up on July 13.

Speaking at the event, commercial counsellor of Vietnam’s embassy to Germany Nguyen Thien Binh highlighted the flourishing relations between Vietnam and Germany.

The fair is a great opportunity for enterprises from both sides to foster business cooperation, he said, adding that this is also a chance for Vietnamese firms to promote their trademarks and seek potential partners in the host country.

The 24-booth fair is showcasing a variety of well-known products such as rattan and bamboo made handicrafts and pottery, and food and beverages of Vietnamese prestige such as tea and coffee.

The fair is at Alexander Square in the centre of Berlin. It is held by Ho Chi Minh City-based SASCO in collaboration with two other joint stock companies of Viethaus and Viet-Mart in Berlin.

Its opening ceremony saw the participation of Vice Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, representatives of the German Foreign Ministry and embassies of other ASEAN countries in the host country as well as a number of Vietnam’s trade partners.-VNA
