- Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on July 4 urged the Government and local authorities to immediately remove obstacles to policy implementation, describing execution as the "bottleneck of all bottlenecks" at present, to accelerate economic growth and lay a solid foundation for the country's next development phase.
Addressing the Government's regular meeting for June and a teleconference with authorities of all localities nationwide, the top leader said 2026, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and also the start of a new development phase, requires the entire political system to act with greater urgency to deliver fast, sustainable and self-reliant development while strengthening economic resilience and improving people's living standards. - Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on July 4 reaffirmed the Government's determination to achieve double-digit economic growth in 2026 and throughout the 2026–2030 period while maintaining macroeconomic stability, keeping inflation under control and safeguarding the economy's major balances.

- At the invitation of the French Communist Party (PCF), a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Kim Son, member of the CPV Central Committee and Vice Chairman of its Commission for Strategies and Policies, has attended the 40th PCF Congress, held in Lille city from July 3 to 5.

- Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast on July 5 unveiled the VF 2, a compact urban electric car priced at 188 million VND (7,200 USD), including the battery, as part of its strategy to make car ownership more accessible for Vietnamese consumers.
The two-door, four-seat model offers a driving range of up to 210 kilometres on a single charge. Pre-orders will open on July 15, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September 2026. Read full story
- The final leg of Viet Culture in Motion, an international short documentary film festival dedicated to Vietnamese culture, ended on July 5 at Cinema Aventure in central Brussels, Belgium.
Following screenings in Paris, Lorient (France) and Prague (the Czech Republic), three free screenings in Brussels from July 3–5 concluded the festival's 14-show tour across three European cities, organised by the Art Space Association in collaboration with Le Village Français. Read full story
- The fourth Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) concluded on July 4 after seven days of screenings, industry events and cultural exchanges, with Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attending the closing and awards ceremony.
