HCM City (VNA) - An exhibition on machinery for the packaging and printing industries as well as food technologies opened on October 12 in HCM City.

It is expected to be a venue for industry insiders and suppliers to find partners and to help local manufacturers gain easy access to the latest machines and equipment to improve productivity, competitiveness, and export value.

More than 250 companies from Singapore, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Vietnam are displaying products and services at 440 stalls at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.

They include packaging machines, carton making equipment, jet printers, and printing quality control machines. Digital printing solutions for food and pharmaceutical industries, additives and chemicals are also on display.

The VietnamPact, Printing and FoodTech 2016, organised by local Vinexad and Taiwan's Chan Chao International, will run until October 15.-VNA
