Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Thai Tourism and Sports Minister Artthakorn Sirilatthayakorn has chaired a high-level meeting to review Thailand’s preparations for hosting the 33rd SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games.
The session, joined by senior officials including Permanent Secretary Natreeya Taweewong and Sports Authority of Thailand Governor Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, covered progress in logistics, venue readiness, and coordination among related agencies.
Artthakorn commended the proactive efforts across all sectors, expressing the ministry’s readiness to deliver both events successfully. He said the games represent an opportunity for Thailand to showcase its capabilities as a regional sports leader and to foster national pride through a grand and inspiring event.
The 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9 to 20, 2025, across Bangkok, Chon Buri, and Songkhla, while the 13th ASEAN Para Games will be held from January 20 to 26, 2026, in Nakhon Ratchasima.
The opening and closing ceremonies will feature creative themes—“ONE” for the SEA Games and “The United Heart of the Unstoppable” for the ASEAN Para Games, supported by upgraded broadcasting, public relations, and private-sector collaboration.
The ministry is also integrating tourism promotion through the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Authority of Thailand to raise venue standards, boost safety and accessibility, and encourage public participation.
