Hanoi (VNA) – Son La province has applied 3D digitalisation to showcase local products and cultural publications at the Spring Fair 2026 in Hanoi, allowing visitors to get deeper insights into the northwestern locality’s distinctive culture and specialties simply by scanning QR codes, according to Tran Ngoc Quynh Anh, Chief of Office of the Son La Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre.

At the fair, the centre also digitalises links introducing local businesses and themed products, enabling visitors to easily access information while touring the event.

According to the official, the locality showcases a wide range of products, including OCOP items and seasonal fresh fruits, alongside a cultural space themed around Son La’s Mong ethnic culture, with all displays reflecting the theme and highlighted by signature spring flowers such as wild peach, mustard and pear blossoms.

The locality’s exhibition backdrops also feature Son La’s signature flowers, creating an immersive northwestern spring atmosphere for visitors.

In addition, the province features community art troupes performing traditional ethnic dances, bamboo dances and folk songs, along with springtime folk games such as “con” and “pao” throwing.

Quynh Anh said that despite the advantages of e-commerce and social media, trade fairs remain important as they allow consumers, especially middle-aged shoppers, to directly experience, sample and select products, creating a more complete Tet shopping experience in one venue.

She noted that the provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre has actively supported businesses and cooperatives participating in the Spring Fair 2026 through business matching, booth arrangement and cost support, with many cooperatives receiving free booths and decoration under a resolution of the provincial People’s Council.

The official expressed her hope that the fair will help boost sales while promoting Son La’s distinctive culture and tourism destinations, generating greater spillover effects, particularly if future fairs are organised by specialised sectors./.
