Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Cambodian Ministry of Health on June 7 confirmed589 new COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours, including 562domestically-transmitted cases.

The remaining are Cambodian workers returning from Thailand.

On the day, the country also recorded additional threefatalities related to the pandemic.

To date, it has documented 34,833 infections, including 28,092recoveries and 266 deaths.

Youk Sambath Secretary of State of the ministry said that on June 8, the countrywill receive additional 500,000 Sinovac vaccine doses of China./.

Vietnam remains Cambodia’s top seafood supplier in H1

Vietnam remained Cambodia’s largest seafood supplier, with shipments to the neighbouring market valued at more than 33 million USD. China ranked second, with exports worth over 16 million USD. Imports from other markets, including Hong Kong (China), Australia, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Malaysia, totaled around 10 million USD.
