Lai Chau (VNA) – The first Glorious Spring Fair 2026 is expected to become an important lever helping Sukova High-Tech Agricultural and Medicinal Cooperative in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau stimulate consumption, promote its brand, and deepen its participation in Vietnam’s domestic medicinal value chain, according to its director Le Van Uan.
The fair is seen not only as a short-term sales opportunity but also as a key platform for connecting with distributors, retailers, and potential partners, he told the Vietnam News Agency. Through product exhibitions and introductions, the cooperative can better understand market demand, gather consumer feedback, and adjust its production and marketing strategies.
More importantly, Sukova High-Tech Agricultural and Medicinal Cooperative aims to expand its customer network and distribution system after the event, reinforcing the position of high-tech OCOP medicinal products as quality healthcare goods capable of competing in modern retail channels.
Uan said the cooperative has identified technology application and strict quality control as central to sustainable development. All cultivation processes, including the production of cordyceps militaris, are conducted under controlled conditions to ensure safety, consistent bioactive content, and stable product quality.
The cooperative has also established a traceability system covering the entire chain from raw materials to finished products. This is considered essential for meeting rising market requirements and building trust among consumers and distribution partners.
It is focusing on developing key product lines such as fresh cordyceps strands, cordyceps substrate products, and lingzhi mushrooms. Two of these have been evaluated and ranked under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme, forming a cornerstone for its branding and market expansion.
These products are regarded as highly valuable and well-suited to the growing consumer trend towards healthcare and disease prevention. Rather than pursuing mass production, the cooperative has adopted a quality-oriented approach, standardising processes and carefully controlling every stage from cultivation to packaging.
Looking ahead, 2026 has been identified as a pivotal period for raising added value through deeper processing. Beyond traditional products, the cooperative plans to invest in machinery and equipment to develop more convenient product lines, such as herbal tea bags and ready-to-use health supplements.
This direction reflects the market’s strong shift from raw medicinal materials to processed products with professional branding and packaging, an inevitable pathway to improve competitiveness and expand the scale of OCOP medicinal goods, Uan said./.
