- Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on July 15 affirmed that caring for revolutionary contributors is both a political responsibility and a moral obligation, calling for more comprehensive and timely policies to ensure that those who sacrificed for the nation receive the care and respect they deserve.

- Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on July 15 called on Lang Son province to capitalise on its strategic border location by transforming its border-gate economy into a new engine of growth, and accelerate institutional reforms, infrastructure development and digital transformation to achieve double-digit economic growth.
PM Hung made the request while chairing a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee to review the province’s socio-economic performance, public investment disbursement, implementation of the two-tier local administration model, enforcement of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, and measures to remove development bottlenecks. - With the revised Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8) and a new legal framework paving the way, battery energy storage systems (BESS) are expected to become a key enabler of Vietnam's energy transition, strengthening energy security and supporting the country's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The revised PDP8 identifies renewable energy as a cornerstone of Vietnam's energy transition. By 2030, renewables (excluding hydropower) are projected to account for 28–36% of the country's total installed power capacity, with solar power reaching 46,459–73,416 MW. At the same time, energy storage systems, including BESS and pumped-storage hydropower, are planned to reach a combined capacity of 10,000–16,300 MW, enhancing the flexibility of the national power grid.
