Da Nang and nearby areas are growing in popularity for weddings and has hosted more than 20 Indian weddings over the past two years. The region anticipates hosting six more weddings in the first two months of this year.

The central city will take advantage of the growing interest in the Indian market - known for luxurious destination weddings and with a wedding market estimated to hit 100 billion USD by 2025.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, wedding tourism has become a strategic focus of many Asian countries over the past 5 years, particularly in Southeast Asia.

The city boasts advantages in tropical natural resources, unique cultural values, and competitive event costs.

Developing wedding tourism has been a long-held aspiration for Da Nang’s tourism sector.

Now is an opportune moment to capitalise on the market, prepare action plans to link businesses together, cultivate a service ecosystem, and build Da Nang into a prominent wedding destination.

The Hospitality and Tourism Institute at Duy Tan University cooperated with the Da Nang Department of Tourism last November to assess the potential of wedding tourism potential in the central city. Wedding tourism is anticipated to grow significantly based on a survey conducted for the assessment. Service providers and intermediaries are particularly interested in and focused on developing wedding tourism in Da Nang.

Da Nang will further establish new flight links to further broaden the wedding tourism market. The city is also set to intensify its communications and marketing strategies to secure a prominent position as a wedding destination within Asia and the world./.
