Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia's Financial Services Authority is developing the National Fraud Portal within the Indonesia Anti-Scam Centre to support faster and more coordinated handling of fraud cases, an official has said.
Dicky Kartikoyono, Chief Executive for Consumer Protection at the authority, said in a statement on May 24 that the portal will facilitate report collection, information exchange and the tracking of transactions suspected of being linked to fraud.
Dicky said the National Fraud Portal is designed as an integrated platform to enable faster, more coordinated fraud handling.
The process includes aligning governance aspects, operational readiness, and the data integration required to ensure the system can operate effectively, he said.
The system will facilitate report collection, information exchange, and support the tracing of transactions suspected of fraud, enabling a more efficient response to cases, added the official.
From the beginning of 2026 to April 29, the authority received over 14,000 complaints related to illegal entities, mostly involving illegal online loans. Meanwhile, the Illegal Financial Activities Eradication Task Force identified and shut down over 950 illegal online lending entities and three illegal investment offers across multiple sites and applications./.
