Hanoi (VNA) - MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and CMC Technology Group on December 22 signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding to jointly provide digital infrastructure, digital transformation and AI transformation solutions for state agencies and businesses.
The agreement upgrades their strategic partnership launched in 2020, expanding cooperation towards end-to-end models that offer integrated, packaged services, enabling faster deployment, stable operation and flexible scalability for clients.
Against the backdrop of accelerating digital and AI transformation, the partnership between two leading Vietnamese telecoms and technology groups is expected to help advance national digital transformation programmes, bringing technology more effectively into governance, production and public service delivery.
Instead of providing fragmented components, the two sides will design scenario-based solutions with built-in connectivity, monitoring and cybersecurity, addressing common bottlenecks in system integration and post-deployment operations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, MobiFone Chairman Major General Truong Son Lam said cooperation will focus on IT infrastructure, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and “Make in Vietnam” technologies, in line with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
CMC Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh described the resolution as a timely opportunity for Vietnamese technology enterprises, noting that all CMC products and solutions are being developed to meet international standards. He affirmed CMC’s commitment to working alongside MobiFone in addressing socio-economic challenges and, when required, contributing to national defence and security tasks.
Under the agreement, cooperation will centre on three pillars - jointly developing digital services and solutions; co-investing in national digital infrastructure, including transmission systems, data centres, cloud computing, security and integration platforms; and building a long-term partnership to enhance competitiveness and market credibility.
The two sides will roll out co-branded “MobiFone – CMC” service packages and solution sets for smart offices, campuses, buildings and factories, integrating telecommunications, Internet, cloud services, information security, cameras and management applications./.
