Reference exchange rate up 15 VND on May 29

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,962 VND/USD on May 29, up 15 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,210 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,714 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw increases.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,810 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,170 VND/USD, both up 70 VND from May 28. The rates at BIDV were 25,790 and 26,150, respectively, up 50 VND. /.
