Reference exchange rate goes up on May 28

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,947 VND/USD on May 28, up 12 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,947 VND/USD on May 28, up 12 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,194 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,700 VND/USD.

At 8:15 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks remained unchanged.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,740 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,100 VND/USD, unchanged from May 27./.
