As of the afternoon of July 27, 48 people aboard the Khoi Nguyen 18 vessel had been rescued, according to information from Vietnamese authorities cited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hanoi (VNA) – As of the afternoon of July 27, 48 people aboard the Khoi Nguyen 18 vessel had been rescued, according to information from Vietnamese authorities cited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vietnamese authorities have received all the survivors who were rescued and provided with medical care by the Chinese side. They are currently on their way back to the mainland.

On July 26 and 27, the competent authorities of the parties involved made every effort to carry out the search and rescue operation, as well as provide medical care and assistance to those affected.

Despite rough seas, strong winds, and adverse weather conditions that have made the search and rescue efforts extremely challenging, Vietnamese competent forces remain committed to the search for the remaining missing persons with the highest level of determination./.

PM calls for building elite, professional international search and rescue force

During its mission from June 29 to July 7, the team worked around the clock under extremely hazardous conditions amid heavily damaged and contaminated disaster zones. Despite the challenges, rescue personnel recovered 57 victims' bodies and handed them over to local authorities and families. They also identified and reported several suspected locations where additional victims might be trapped.

E-logbooks cut fishing vessel inspections by 70%

Owners and captains of fishing vessels between 12 and 24 metres in length are being instructed on how to record operational data, including fuel and ice consumption, catches from each fishing trip and electronic logbook submissions through the fisheries management system.

Thanh Hoa steps up efforts to identify fallen soldiers' remains

The province currently has 3,567 unidentified martyrs’ graves, including 612 with incomplete information and 2,955 with no information. In response to the 500-day campaign to recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers lacking information through DNA testing, the provincial Military Command is collecting remains samples at local martyrs’ cemeteries.

Ho Chi Minh City reaffirms comprehensive support for people with meritorious service

Speaking at the event on July 27, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, said all of the city's development is ultimately aimed at improving people's well-being, including providing broad and consistent care for war veterans, martyrs' families and other beneficiaries of preferential policies.

Hanoi to support low-income residents in replacing high-emission motorbikes
