Hanoi (VNA) – The upcoming first Glorious Spring Fair 2026 is expected to feature around 3,000 standard booths, alongside outdoor spaces dedicated to cultural, culinary and experiential activities.
Scheduled to take place at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Hanoi's Dong Anh commune from February 2 to 13, it will cover a total exhibition area of approximately 100,000 square metres indoors and 45,246 square metres outdoors, comprising 10 exhibition halls, each with an area of about 10,000 square metres.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the expo will include several key components assigned to the ministry, most notably themed zones showcasing and gradually commercialising products from Vietnam’s cultural industries. Spaces recreating the atmosphere of the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) will feature performing arts, music, fashion, handicrafts, cinema, cuisine and folk games. The fair is expected to serve as a meeting point between creativity and commerce, helping to project an image of Vietnam as dynamic, innovative and rich in cultural identity.
Speaking at a regular press briefing on January 29, Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the Government has assigned the ministry to take the lead in organising the inaugural Spring Fair, with a clear objective of stimulating domestic demand and boosting consumption.
Demand-stimulation programmes, he stressed, must be implemented in a coordinated and targeted manner, closely linked with quality control and traceability of goods.
The fair will serve as a direct link between manufacturers, distributors, and consumers, helping to cut down unnecessary middle steps. As a result, businesses are expected to cut operating and consignment costs by around 15-20%, enabling both enterprises and consumers to benefit from more competitive prices at the event.
Building on the positive results of the first Autumn Fair in 2025, which recorded revenue of more than 1 trillion VND (38.44 million USD) and attracted strong participation from domestic and international enterprises, the Spring Fair is expected to achieve even stronger sales performance.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said it aims to promote and revitalise the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods”, linking national pride with the consumption of domestically produced products. The programme’s message goes beyond prioritising support for Vietnamese goods, affirming that locally made products possess the quality and value to earn consumer trust, preference and long-term loyalty./.
