Hanoi (VNA) – Three international industrial exhibitions opened simultaneously at the Vietnam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Hanoi on July 1, bringing together more than 400 companies and brands from 11 countries and territories across 15,000 sq.m of exhibition space.

The events – HanoiPlas 2026, HanoiPrintPack 2026 and Intelligent Asia Hanoi 2026, are being held concurrently for the first time, creating an integrated industrial ecosystem spanning plastics and rubber, printing and packaging, automation, electronics, precision engineering and smart manufacturing.

Co-organised by Vinexad and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., as well as domestic and foreign partners, the exhibitions feature businesses from China, Hong Kong (China), India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Spain, Taiwan (China) and Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said Vietnam is entering a new phase of industrial development driven by science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

He said high-tech industries, supporting industries and smart manufacturing have become key drivers of productivity, quality improvement and deeper integration into global value chains. Trade promotion, he added, now extends beyond business matching to facilitate technology transfer, attract investment, expand international partnerships and help businesses access emerging industrial trends.

Hung described the combined exhibition model as reflecting the evolution of modern manufacturing, where companies increasingly seek integrated, intelligent and sustainable value chains rather than standalone solutions.

Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA), said HanoiPlas has established itself as one of northern Vietnam's leading trade platforms for the plastics and rubber industries, providing opportunities for businesses to showcase advanced technologies, machinery and materials while strengthening investment and trade partnerships.

Vietnam's plastics industry currently comprises more than 6,000 enterprises, employing over 300,000 workers. Industry revenue reached an estimated 34.3 billion USD in 2025, up nearly 10% year on year, while exports totalled almost 10 billion USD, with products shipped to more than 190 countries and territories.

A key highlight is the debut of Intelligent Asia Hanoi, which focuses on smart automation, electronics and PCB manufacturing, and precision machining. The exhibition showcases solutions for smart factories, including industrial control systems, machine vision, intelligent sensors and operational optimisation technologies.

The Taiwan Select Pavilion, organised by the Taipei Machinery Traders' Association (TMTA), features 58 Taiwanese companies across 65 booths, presenting the latest smart manufacturing technologies and promoting technology cooperation between Vietnamese and Taiwanese businesses.

The exhibition programme also includes specialised seminars on smart manufacturing, sustainable packaging, digital transformation in electronics, plastics technologies and sustainable industrial standards.

Running through July 4, the exhibition series is expected to become one of northern Vietnam's largest international industrial events this year, promoting technology transfer, attracting investment and strengthening Vietnam's position in global manufacturing supply chains./.
