-A ceremonywas held in Hanoi on July 24 to mark the 75th anniversary of War Invalids andMartyrs Day, with the attendance of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, along withState leaders and 450 representatives of millions of people who madecontributions to the revolution.

Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social AffairsDao Ngoc Dung said currently, there are more than 9.2 million knowncontributors to the revolution, including 1.2 million martyrs, more than139,000 Heroic  Vietnamese Mothers, 1,300 Heroes of People's Armed Forcesand Labour Heroes, nearly 800,000 war invalids and 320,000 others who wereexposed to toxic chemicals. Read full story

-Thecentral province of Nghe An holds huge opportunities, advantages and resourcesto make breakthroughs in the coming years, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh saidat a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committeeas part of his trip to the locality on July 24.

The leader urged Nghe An to mobilise all resourcesfor its development, especially those through the public-private partnership(PPP), with the immediate tasks of ensuring the macro-economic stability,controlling inflation and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly thevaccination rollout. Read full story

According to historical records, the area once served as an operational base for units of Regiments 609, 66, 24 and 320, as well as staff and logistics agencies of the Central Highlands front (B3) during the 1966–1969 period. Between 2020 and 2025, the corps had already recovered remains from 46 martyrs in the Chu Pa mountain area.
