Legal proceedings launched against Nguyen Van Dai for anti-State propaganda

Investigation results revealed sufficient evidence of Nguyen Van Dai (born on May 6, 1969 in Hung Yen province, and residing in Bach Mai ward, Hanoi) having engaged in making, storing, distributing and spreading information, documents, and items against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Investigation Security Agency of the Ministry of Public Security on November 18 initiated legal proceedings against and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Dai for “making, storing, distributing, or spreading information, documents, or items aimed at sabotaging the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”.

The agency said that on November 11, it officially launched a probe into the case of “making, storing, distributing, or spreading information, documents, or items aimed at sabotaging the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”.

Investigation results revealed sufficient evidence of Nguyen Van Dai (born on May 6, 1969 in Hung Yen province, and residing in Bach Mai ward, Hanoi) having engaged in making, storing, distributing and spreading information, documents, and items against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Therefore, the Investigation Security Agency on November 18 decided to officially initiate legal proceedings against and put Dai into temporary detention for the charge under Article 117 of the Penal Code.

The Supreme People’s Procuracy approved the decision on the probe into and temporary detention against Dai.

Currently, the Investigation Security Agency is coordinating with the Supreme People’s Procuracy to investigate and clarify the case and the accused’s criminal acts for settlement in line with law./.

HCM City tackles fishing violations at roots
