Reference exchange rate continues upward trend on July 15

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,495 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,971 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,233 VND/USD on July 15, up 8 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,495 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,971 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, the opening-hour buying and selling rates at major commercial banks remained unchanged from the July 14 morning trading session.

At 8:20, both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,070 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 26,450 VND/USD./.

Lao Cai steps up anti-smuggling crackdown, handles more than 1,220 cases

Among the cases were 367 involving the illegal trade and transport of prohibited or smuggled goods, 692 related to commercial and tax fraud, and 162 concerning counterfeit products, imitation goods and intellectual property infringements.
