Themed "City Awakening – Awakening Heritage," Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 aims to offer an immersive experience that combines Hue's rich cultural heritage with contemporary music, art and cutting-edge performance technology.
The exhibition, “Vietnam Crossroads”, is framed as an invitation to retrace Vietnam’s historical journey. Each photo functions as a fragment of a larger story, spotlighting the vitality, determination, and resilience that have defined the Vietnamese people across periods of upheaval.
Audiences will enjoy a diverse musical palette ranging from V-pop, K-pop, J-pop and alternative pop to flamenco and other emerging international performance trends.
Scheduled for June 19-21 at Bong Lai Islet on Tinh Tam Lotus Lake in Phu Xuan ward, one of Hue’s most renowned scenic landmarks and a symbol of royal garden art, the festival draws inspiration from the lotus’s enduring beauty in court culture. The event aims to honour local heritage while offering visitors a distinctive summer tourism experience.
The throne has been reinstated at its original central position inside Thai Hoa Palace, the ceremonial heart of the former imperial court. Its return has attracted significant interest from visitors and heritage enthusiasts eager to see one of Vietnam’s most important royal artefacts back on display.
Designed as a community-oriented programme, the event will be staged at an open-air venue along the Huong River. All performances will be free to the public, offering both residents and visitors access to a dynamic and inclusive cultural space.
The village is now home to 40 traditional wooden houses aged between 100 and 300 years. They share a common architectural lineage, built by master carpenters from famed My Xuyen carpentry village using sturdy frames joined with pegs and mortise techniques, without iron nails.
Heritage education has been fully integrated into the formal curriculum from grades 1 to 12, with local content making up 30–40% of teaching time, now adopted across all schools in Hue city.
Co-hosted by the Hue Festival organising board and the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, the event brings together ornamental plant associations, clubs, orchid artisans, bonsai and ornamental plant masters, and stone art craftsmen nationwide.
Taking place on April 18–19, the festival also marks the opening of the Hue Summer Festival 2026.
