Fuel prices continue to fall on latest adjustment

The maximum retail price of E5RON92 was set at 19,191 VND (0.73 USD) per litre, down 539 VND from the previous ceiling and 812 VND lower than E10RON95-III. The latter was capped at 20,003 VND per litre, a decrease of 412 VND.

Hanoi (VNA) – Retail fuel prices in Vietnam were adjusted at 15:00 on July 9, with biofuel E5RON92 recording a steep decline.

Accordingly, the maximum retail price of E5RON92 was set at 19,191 VND (0.73 USD) per litre, down 539 VND from the previous ceiling and 812 VND lower than E10RON95-III. The latter was capped at 20,003 VND per litre, a decrease of 412 VND.

Meanwhile, the ceiling price of 180CST 3.5S mazut fell by 318 VND to 13,735 VND per kilogram. In contrast, the price of 0.05S diesel rose by 569 VND to 21,745 VND per litre.

Under the latest price review, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided not to use the petroleum price stabilisation fund for disbursement.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said it will coordinate with relevant agencies to supervise petroleum traders to ensure a stable domestic supply, while handling any violations.

The two ministries will also closely monitor global market developments and recommend timely price stabilisation measures to the government./.
