Hue receives over 329 bln VND in support for post-flood recovery

The central city of Hue has so far received over 329 billion VND (over 12.5 million USD) from the central budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)'s agencies, and other localities to support flood recovery efforts.

Hue (VNA) – The central city of Hue has so far received over 329 billion VND (over 12.5 million USD) from the central budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)'s agencies, and other localities to support flood recovery efforts, according to the municipal Civil Defence Command.

Accordingly, the city received 250 billion VND from the central budget, including 150 billion VND in emergency aid under Decision No. 2400/QD-TTg dated October 29, 2025, and an additional 100 billion VND under Decision No. 2438/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2025.

More than 75 billion VND in aid was contributed through the VFF’s chapters, including over 55 billion VND from organisations and individuals via the account of the municipal VFF, 20 billion VND from the Central Relief Mobilisation Committee under the VFF Central Committee. In addition, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces also provided 4 billion VND in support for Hue.

Recent consecutive floods have caused extensive damage in Hue city. The municipal authorities have mobilised all available resources and called for continued assistance from the Government and relevant ministries. In the short term, Hue has proposed the Government provide 130 tonnes of rice seeds to restore production and 800 billion VND to address damage to infrastructure, public facilities, crops, and livelihoods.

The city also proposed 650 billion VND for emergency relocation of households in areas at high risk of landslides, 900 billion VND for the third phase of the northern breakwater at Chan May Port, and about 3 trillion VND for building major flood drainage channels, coastal dykes, and embankments.

The locality also seeks about 75.6 billion VND to strengthen the management, protection, and restoration of upstream and protective forests./.

Over 1.2 million students begin national high school graduation exam

Under the current examination format, candidates are required to complete the mandatory Literature and Mathematics tests, along with a combined test comprising two subjects selected from a range of options, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Technology-Industry, Technology-Agriculture, and Economics-Law. Students may also choose to take a foreign language different from the one studied at school.
