Lam Dong (VNA) – The south central province of Lam Dong has mobilised over 218 billion VND (around 8.38 million USD) from non-state sources to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses as part of the nationwide programme for 2024–2025, provincial authorities said at a recent conference reviewing the implementation of the programme.

By August 31, 2025, the province had completed the removal of all 5,691 targeted temporary and dilapidated houses under the programme, including 4,328 newly built and 1,363 repaired homes, achieving 100% of the plan. Specifically, 2,044 homes were completed in former Lam Dong province, 1,456 in former Binh Thuan province and 2,191 in former Dak Nong province. The total funding for the programme reached 324 billion VND, of which more than 106 billion VND came from the state budget, while the remaining 218 billion VND was mobilised from other sources.

Of the 5,691 homes completed in 2024–2025, 3,862 were implemented under the Prime Minister-launched programme to eliminate substandard houses; 1,118 through national target programmes for poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic and mountainous areas; 429 under housing support for revolutionary contributors and families of martyrs; and 282 through other housing support initiatives.

According to the Lam Dong provincial steering committee for the elimination of substandard houses, the results were achieved thanks to the coordinated efforts of the entire political system and the active participation and consensus of local residents and units.
