Santo Beach Club draws attention in Phu Quoc ahead of Vietnam's National Day

While Hon Thom is already familiar to visitors for its world-famous sea-crossing cable car, Aquatopia Water Park, and Exotica Village, a new seaside experience is giving travellers another reason to spend more time on the island’s southern side: Santo Beach Club.

Hanoi (VNA) – Maintaining a perfect 5/5 rating on Google Maps, Santo Beach Club is emerging as a new destination for visitors exploring Hon Thom (Phu Quoc), offering delicious seaside dishes and relaxing moments by an infinity pool. Particularly appealing, the experience can start with a cup of coffee priced at just 50,000 VND.

This year’s five-day Vietnam’s National Day holiday from September 2 offers travelers an opportunity to extend their trips to Phu Quoc. While Hon Thom is already familiar to visitors for its world-famous sea-crossing cable car, Aquatopia Water Park, and Exotica Village, a new seaside experience is giving travellers another reason to spend more time on the island’s southern side: Santo Beach Club.

Step straight into the sea

The first thing that sets Santo Beach Club apart is its location. Situated right next to Trao Beach, the restaurant offers a direct view of the sea, where the turquoise waters blend with the distinctive rocky coastline and rows of coconut palms characteristic of Hon Thom.

With no glass barriers or concrete walls blocking the view, the distance between the dining tables and the sea seems to disappear. Visitors can enjoy a drink while watching the waves roll onto the shore, or simply sit back and listen to the sound of the sea during a relaxing day off.

More notably, the experience at Santo Beach Club goes beyond a meal. Its seaside infinity pool has quickly become a new check-in spot, allowing guests to gaze straight out toward the ocean while in the water, creating the sensation that the sea stretches endlessly into the distance.

Travelelrs do not have to visit renowned destinations in Australia to experience a seaside swimming pool. In Hon Thom, they can enjoy a tropical version right in front of them. Even better, the pool is free for restaurant guests.

The atmosphere also changes throughout the day. During the daytime, guests can unwind by the sea to the gentle sounds of violin music and laid-back rhythms. As evening approaches, Santo Beach Club becomes livelier, with DJs and performances by international dancers transforming the pool area into a vibrant seaside entertainment space.

What surprises many visitors is that enjoying this setting does not necessarily require a hefty bill. A cup of coffee starting at 50,000 VND is enough to begin several hours of relaxation by the sea.

From Vietnamese flavors to Western cuisine, another reason to “fall in love with Phu Quoc”

If the sea view is what makes visitors stop, the food is what encourages them to stay longer.

Santo Beach Club’s menu combines familiar Vietnamese dishes with Western-style options, catering both to full meals and casual gatherings or leisurely moments by the sea.

Among the Vietnamese dishes, the clay-pot braised black-spotted grouper with pepper stands out, featuring firm, naturally sweet fish infused with the fragrant heat of Phu Quoc pepper. The Vietnamese sweet potato leaf and crab soup offers a lighter choice, with a refreshing flavour well suited to sunny beach days.

Western options include shrimp in cream sauce served with French fries, as well as pan-seared salmon with crispy skin and tender flesh, accompanied by a lemon-butter sauce. The drinks menu also offers a variety of choices, from traditional coffee and Mojitos to Sun Kraft Beer.

Another advantage is Santo Beach Club’s location right next to the attractions at Trao Beach. After a meal, visitors can continue relaxing on the beach or return to Aquatopia Water Park to take on thrilling attractions such as Wavy Whirl – Tropical Cyclone, the world’s first next-generation water slide, before discovering Moc Xa Thinh No – the first wooden roller coaster in Vietnam – at Exotica Village.

With its combination of a seaside location, infinity pools, diverse cuisine, and entertainment, Santo Beach Club is gradually becoming known as a new stop on journeys exploring Hon Thom. On Google, the restaurant currently maintains a 5/5 rating, while many visitors describe it as a worthwhile place to visit when traveling to the island.

For the National Day (September 2) holiday this year, travelling to Hon Thom is also becoming more convenient with promotions from Sun PhuQuoc Airways. From August 15 to October 5, 2026, the airline is offering discounts of up to 30% on fares for a range of flights to Phu Quoc. Passengers booking tickets through the airline’s website will also receive a Wow Pass Silver worth 300,000 VND at Sun World Hon Thom, along with access to priority lanes at participating areas. Their boarding passes can also be used to receive a 20% discount at the Mango buffet restaurant.

For travelers looking to extend their September 2 holiday a little longer, Santo Beach Club could be just the right kind of destination: no complicated itinerary required—just a cup of coffee, an ocean-facing infinity pool, and a few leisurely hours to experience Phu Quoc in its true “tropical paradise” spirit./.

Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, said tourism programmes combining air travel, trade, shopping, conferences, exhibitions, resorts, entertainment and cultural experiences should form an integrated service chain, increasing added value while extending visitors’ stays and boosting their spending. The tourism sector must strengthen resource sharing and work together to develop interconnected products capable of competing at both national and international levels.

Vietnam finds ways to lure international tourists

Vietnam welcomed about 12.3 million international visitors in the first six months of 2026, up nearly 15% year-on-year, with China and the Republic of Korea remaining the two largest source markets. However, experts noted that growth in visitor numbers should go hand in hand with improvements in spending, length of stay, satisfaction and environmental and cultural sustainability.
