On the morning of June 20th, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized a program to launch the Day of Youth volunteer for Urban civilization in 2021.
This year, the Hanoi Youth Union in collaboration with the Ha Dong District Youth Union hosted the opening ceremony with the enthusiastic response of the youth union members.
Day of Youth volunteer for Urban civilization in 2021 takes place with main activities such as giving gifts to the "For urban civilization" teams; giving indicator signs towards in the district; inaugurating the mural project promoting the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic; launching the bicycle team to propagate urban civilization; launching a team to remove unauthorized ads; launching a group to plant and take care of trees; simultaneously deploying activities for urban civilization on 30 streets of Hanoi.
Ha Dong District has painted more than 500 meters of squared murals and blooming flowers at 200 electric poles on the streets of the district with diverse themes such as landscape, flowers as well as Covid-19 prevention and anti-drug propaganda. The work shows the determination of Hanoi’s youth and all levels and sectors to join hands to fight against the epidemic and create a green, clean and beautiful living environment landscape, contributing to the construction of a civilized city.
On behalf of Hanoi youth, Ms. Hoang Thi Huyen Trang (Member of District party committee, Secretary of Ha Dong District Youth Union) promise to mobilize family, friends, and people to participate in planting trees and flower beds where they live, not to encroach on the sidewalks as places of business and trade, not to hang or paste advertisements illegally; Furthermore, they will effectively coordinate with the self-governing team to ensure urban order and civility; link the implementation of urban civilization with the activities such as the "Volunteer Saturday", the "Green Sunday"; and ensure environmental protection.
In the context that the COVID-19 epidemic is still complicated, this event has encouraged the Ha Dong youth union members in particular and Hanoi in general, as well as promoting the role of the young generation who are active in the fight against the epidemic with meaningful and practical activities./.
