In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh underlined that the 1975 Spring Victory, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, was a glorious triumph of the entire Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. It was a monumental achievement paid for by the sacrifices of heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence.

Reflecting on the past five decades, Consul General Linh noted that Vietnam has risen from the ruins of war to become a dynamic and resilient nation increasingly asserting its role on the global stage. From the early days of Doi moi (renewal), the country is now entering a new era, one of strength and prosperity.
