Art performance raises funds for flood victims

The charity art programme “Thap sang yeu thuong” (Lighting up Love) was more than just an art show; it served as a bridge of empathy and unity, connecting the public with those enduring the severe impacts of the recent storms and floods in northern and central Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) – A charity art programme entitled “Thap sang yeu thuong” (Lighting up Love) was held at the Ho Guom Theatre on October 22 evening to raise funds for people affected by recent storms and floods.

All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships, totalling 1.15 billion VND (43,600 USD), will come to those in need through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The programme featured renowned artists including Thanh Lam, Tan Minh, Dang Duong, Hoang Tung, Quang Dung, and Trung Quan Idol. All performers and production staff volunteered their time and talent as a show of compassion and solidarity with the disaster-stricken communities.

Organisers stated that the event was more than just an art show; it served as a bridge of empathy and unity, connecting the public with those enduring the severe impacts of the recent storms and floods in northern and central Vietnam./.

SEA Games 33: Vietnam excels with record-breaking performances
