Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 will be held under the theme “Colours of the Ocean – Reaching International Heights” next month, heard a press conference in Nha Trang, the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, on June 22.
The main festival activities will take place from July 17-19 in Nha Trang, while related events will be held across the province from July 10 to August 10.
Speaking at the press conference, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Thai Thi Le Hang said the festival is a national- and international-scale cultural and tourism event traditionally held every two years in Nha Trang. Over the years, it has become one of Khanh Hoa’s signature cultural brands, helping promote the province’s image while contributing to tourism and socio-economic development.
Although 2026 is not part of the festival’s regular biennial cycle, Khanh Hoa has decided to upgrade its Sea Tourism Festival into the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival to further enhance the event’s brand value and stimulate tourism demand.
A highlight of the festival will be its opening ceremony, which will feature augmented reality (AR), real-time performance technologies and 3D mapping to create a modern visual spectacle for both on-site audiences and television viewers.
Local tourism authorities have coordinated with the provincial Tourism Association and accommodation providers to ensure adequate facilities and services for visitors during the event.
Traffic and security plans have also been prepared for central Nha Trang. Organisers will work closely with traffic police, local law enforcement agencies and relevant units to ensure safety and public order, particularly during large-scale events.
In addition to the main programmes, the festival will feature a wide range of cultural, culinary and sporting activities, featuring Khanh Hoa bird’s nest, agricultural products, and local specialties./.
