Shop owners are cautious on the first day of reopening to welcome customers

On September 15, Hanoi People’s Committee allowed districts and towns where no community infections are recorded (from the time municipal People’s Committee Chairman’s Directive No. 20/CD-UBND performed) to enable reopening of some services.

More good news comes to Doi Can street in Ba Dinh district as reopening of some services are enabled, just one day after lockdown and medical quarantine are removed at the area of alley No. 68; food and drinks stores are allowed for takeaway sale beginning 12 pm September 16.

However, preparations and trading in the street on the first day of implementing the new directive are quiet.

As witnessed by a Vietnamplus reporter, the distance from the Doi Can-Ngoc Ha crossroad to the Doi Can-Giang Van Minh crossroad has about 29 food and drinks stores, but only three of them reopen today. The reopened stores sell rice, rice flour rolls, bread, and easy takeaways.

Shop owners all remain cautious when the number of guests cannot immediately recover.
