Workshop promotes Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange

The event was part of Hanoi’s plan on participating in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2025.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Centre of the Hanoi Museum on April 18 collaborated with Vietnamese and Japanese partners to organise a workshop entitled "Spring Meeting" aiming to promotes Vietnam-Japan cultural exchanges.

The event was part of Hanoi’s plan on participating in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2025. The workshop provided a unique experiential space where visitors can explore and directly participate in traditional creative activities such as Vietnamese and Japanese calligraphy, Origami - a traditional Japanese art, or tea ceremonies.

Additionally, the public will learn about Yen Thai traditional handmade paper craft - part of Vietnam's cultural heritage - through exhibits from the Hanoi Museum and creative products from Zo Project.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa, Director of the Hanoi Creative Activities Coordination Centre, said that through this activity, the centre aims to encourage creative community groups to participate in promoting traditional cultural values, developing creative cultural products, enhancing the cultural and spiritual life, and contributing to urban revitalisation while promoting Hanoi's image to international friends./.

The relics will be open for public worship and veneration at Hanoi-based Quan Su Pagoda from 6 am to 9 pm from May 14-16. They will then be transferred to Tam Chuc Pagoda in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 17-21, before being returned to India.

Golf tournament marks 50 years of Vietnam–Germany ties

The annual event, aimed at strengthening ties between the Vietnamese community and German friends, gathered over 100 golfers, including the Vietnamese Embassy staff, Lao Ambassador Mayboua Xayavong, representatives from the Japanese Embassy, German friends, sponsors, and others from golf clubs across the country.
