Da Nang (VNA) – Kärcher Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. on July 2 inaugurated a cleaning equipment factory (second phase) in Da Nang city, with an investment of about 484 billion VND (18.41 million USD).
Construction of the new facility, located at the Tam Hiep Port Logistics and Industrial Park in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, began in July 2025. Equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies, it is designed to produce cleaning equipment that meets international standards for quality, safety and sustainability.
Its main product lines include high-pressure washers, cleaning machines and handheld cleaning devices.
The first phase of the project was put into operation in July 2024, meeting the production requirements of Kärcher Group and laying the groundwork for the business to further expand its investment in Vietnam.
Following the completion of the second phase, Kärcher Vietnam Technology's production complex spans more than 6.2 ha and employs around 300 workers. The company has continued investing in modern production lines to raise localisation rates, with total output expected to triple compared with current capacity. Total investment across the two phases exceeds 958 billion VND.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Phan Thai Binh said Kärcher Vietnam Technology's continued expansion highlights the growing attractiveness of the Tam Hiep Port Logistics and Industrial Park for investors.
As part of one of Germany's leading industrial groups, the company also serves as a bridge connecting Da Nang with the German business community, he said, expressing hope that Kärcher will continue promoting the city's investment opportunities to German enterprises, business associations and investors, as well as those across the European Union.
Binh noted that Da Nang sees industry as a key engine for achieving double-digit economic growth, improving productivity and strengthening competitiveness. The city is focusing on developing modern infrastructure while attracting investment in high-tech, processing, manufacturing and supporting industries.
He reaffirmed the city's commitment to providing favourable conditions for businesses and investors, helping drive industrial and logistics development in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and the wider central region./.
