- A delegation of the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee laid wreaths at the monument to war heroes and martyrs on Bac Son street and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on July 24 on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947–2025).

The delegation included Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien. - Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting in Dakar on July 23 afternoon (local time) with Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who affirmed that the first visit by a key Vietnamese leader since the establishment of diplomatic ties marks an important milestone in further promoting the good relationship between the two countries.

President Faye stated that the year 2025 holds great significance for Senegal as it is implementing the “Senegal Vision 2050” strategy. He expressed his hope that Vietnamese enterprises will actively participate in the country's economic development, particularly in the field of digital transformation. Read full story

- National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko on July 23 (local time), as part of his official visit to the African nation, during which the two sides agreed to boost cooperation in various areas.

PM Sonko highlighted the significance of Chairman Man’s trip, describing it as a milestone for a new phase of cooperation between the two countries. He affirmed that both President and PM of Senegal are determined to promote ties with Vietnam as a central pillar in Senegal’s South-South cooperation policy. Read full story

- National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s official visit to Morocco from July 24 to 27 underscores the crucial role of parliamentary diplomacy in serving the practical interests of both peoples, positively contributing to bilateral cooperation, and advancing peace, cooperation, and development at both regional and global levels, Vietnamese Ambassador to Morocco Le Kim Quy told the Vietnam News Agency.


According to the diplomat, this is the first visit to Morocco by a key Vietnamese leader since 2019 and comes as the two countries look ahead to the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026. It demonstrates a strong commitment to deepening the two sides’ friendship and cooperation, particularly between their legislative bodies, and is expected to generate fresh momentum for joint work in areas such as economy, trade, investment, tourism, and education – training. - The Government has issued an official dispatch, expediting the removal of long-standing obstacles that have affected renewable energy projects nationwide, with officials asked to report to the Prime Minister by July 25.

The Government acknowledged that while its Resolution No. 233/NQ has made tangible progress in handling hurdles plaguing the projects, significant challenges remain unresolved as several localities, ministries, sectors and agencies have not fully exercise their responsibilities. Read full story

- A tropical storm churning in the East Sea sustained winds of 62–88km per hour on early July 24, moving south-southeast at 15km per hour, the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported.

Storm Comay, the fourth in the East Sea this year, was at around 16.7 degrees North and 118.3 degrees East, in the east of the East Sea's northern waters as of 4am on July 24. Read full story

- All the five members of Vietnam’s national team earned medals at the 2025 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), comprising one gold and four silver medals, placing the country among the top 10 performers, the Ministry of Education and Training announced on July 24
