Cambodian military delegation pays pre-Tet visit to Can Tho

A delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief General Thong Thao Rin, paid a pre-Tet (Lunar New Year) visit to the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on January 16.

Can Tho (VNA) - A delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief General Thong Thao Rin, paid a pre-Tet (Lunar New Year) visit to the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on January 16.

Receiving the Cambodian delegation, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc He emphasised the city's commitment to strengthening its cooperation with Cambodian partners.

General Thong Thao Rin expressed his hope that the relationship between the armies and people of the two countries will grow stronger and more sustainably.

He also expressed his desire for enhanced relations between the High Command of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and the municipal People’s Committee, guided by the principle of good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.

The visit not only strengthened the bond between the two nations and their armies but also demonstrated their shared commitments to peace, stability, and prosperity.

Both sides expressed confidence that through their continued efforts, the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia will reach new heights, benefiting both peoples and contributing to regional and global peace and development./.
