- Party General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam received Men Sam An, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia Motherland (SFDCM), in Hanoi on March 23.
At the reception, General Secretary To Lam highly valued the working visit by Men Sam An and the SFDCM delegation, noting that it contributes to strengthening close cooperation between the two countries’ front organisations and further consolidating the good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, long-term and sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia. - Party General Secretary To Lam and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended a chamber symphony concert marking the debut of the Military Symphony Orchestra in Hanoi on March 23.
Directed by the Central Military Commission - the Ministry of National Defence, and the Military University of Culture and Arts, the event was meant to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party and the election of deputies to the 16th NA and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held talks with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin in Moscow on March 23 as part of the former’s official visit to Russia.
Warmly welcoming PM Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, PM Mishustin expressed his pleasure at meeting the Vietnamese leader again after his very successful visit to Vietnam in January 2025. He once again thanked PM Chinh and senior Vietnamese leaders for their warm and respectful reception given to the Russian delegation during his visit. Read full story
- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on March 23 (local time) held a working session with Russia’s Novatek Group in Moscow as part of his official visit to Russia, seeking to accelerate cooperation on liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and energy development.
The PM emphasised that the operations of Novatek, one of Russia’s and the world’s leading natural gas producers, align with Vietnam’s major development orientations and strategies, including its target of achieving economic growth of 10% or higher and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 through key transformations, particularly in the energy sector. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Decision No. 468/QD-TTg approving a programme to protect and support children in cyberspace for 2026–2030.
The programme aims to achieve the objectives of strengthening child protection while promoting their healthy and positive development, and enhancing their digital capacity in the context of national digital transformation, thus contributing to the formation of a generation of Vietnamese “digital citizens” in the new situation. - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has called for stronger contributions from overseas Vietnamese intellectuals, highlighting their high qualifications, international training and enduring attachment to their homeland as a unique advantage for national development.
