– Party General Secretary and Secretary of the Central Military Commission To Lam paid a working trip to Tho Chau special zone in the southern province of An Giang on November 19, where he called for its transformation into a green, strong and sustainable maritime special zone.
The special zone, comprising eight islands with a combined land area of 13.98 sq.km, is located about 110km west of Phu Quoc island and roughly 220km from the provincial administrative centre. – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Algerian counterpart Sifi Ghrieb agreed to elevate Vietnam – Algeria relations to a strategic partnership during their talks in Algiers on the morning of November 19 (local time), as part of the Vietnamese leader’s official visit to the African country.
At the talks, the two PMs expressed deep pride in the two nations’ shared history of struggle for independence, which served as an inspiration for revolutionary movements worldwide and laid a foundation for today’s bilateral relationship. Read full story

– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on November 19 paid tribute at the Memorial of the Martyr, visited the national museum of the army, and attended the launch of the Arabic edition of the book Dien Bien Phu by the late legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap of Vietnam, as part of his official visit to Algeria.
