Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of Party and State leaders, and National Assembly (NA) deputies laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on May 5 morning, before the opening ceremony of the 15th NA’s 9th session.

The delegation included General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam; State President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man; President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien; Politburo members, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, Vice Chairpersons of the NA, members of the NA Standing Committee, and NA deputies.

They expressed their infinite gratitude and sincere respect for the late leader's great contributions to the cause of national liberation, reunification, and construction of the Fatherland.

The legislature then held a preparatory meeting when deputies listened to a report on revisions to the proposed agenda of the 9th session. After that, the NA discussed and voted to adopt the agenda./.
