Reference exchange rate continues to drop on December 5

The daily reference exchange rate is at 25,151 VND/USD on December 5, down 1 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,151 VND/USD on December 5, down 1 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,409 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,893 VND/USD.

At 8:20am, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks also declined.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,168 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,408 VND/USD, down 1 VND from the December 4 session./.

Bac Ninh expands safe-cultivation areas to boost agricultural exports

In 2026, the province targets expanding its lychee-growing area to 29,800 ha with an expected output of 160,000 tonnes. Of this, 17,500 ha will be produced under VietGAP standards with an estimated yield of 125,000 tonnes; GlobalGAP-certified lychee areas will be maintained at 235 ha; and organic lychee areas at 10 ha.
