Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,726 VND/USD on February 28, up 30 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,962 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,490 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening-hour rates saw fluctuations.
At 8:15am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,350 VND/USD and the selling rate 25,710 VND/USD, unchanged from the February 27 morning session.
Meanwhile, BIDV raised both rates by 45 VND, listing the buying rate at 25,395 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,755 VND/USD./.
