Senior Party official attends great national unity festival in Lao Cai province

Lao Cai (VNA) - Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu on November 17 joined people of Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages at the great national unity festival held in Thac Ba commune in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, in celebration of the 95th traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930-2025).

Expressing his delight at attending the festival, Tu emphasised that for many years, organising the festival in residential areas on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front has become a meaningful tradition, bringing front activities closer to local communities, families, and individuals, and aiming to build, strengthen, and promote the people’s mastery and to enhance the strength of the great national unity bloc.

The official expressed his hope that provincial leaders, as well as the local Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front Committee, and mass organisations of Thac Ba commune and Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages, will continue to uphold their fine traditions and the achievements they have attained. He urged them to successfully implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels; mobilise the people to strengthen the great national unity power; and effectively fulfill their assigned political, economic, cultural, and social tasks.

Tu called for the effective organisation of patriotic emulation movements among the people; the encouragement and recognition of exemplary models, outstanding collectives, and individuals to foster a vibrant emulation atmosphere and inspire the aspiration to build prosperity for families, the homeland, and the nation. He also emphasised the need to continue mobilising community resources to care for and support the poor and those facing difficulties.

At the festival, the Party official and other delegates visited booths showcasing products from agricultural production, industrial and handicraft activities, as well as the cultural identities of the ethnic groups in Thac Ba commune. They also joined local residents in enjoying traditional cultural and sports activities.

They then presented gifts to outstanding families and the front work boards of the two villages, and awarded bicycles to several students./.
