Vietnam Railways Corporation’s 2023 revenue set at over 6.5 trillion VND

The Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) has asked the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) to achieve revenue and after-tax profit of over 6.5 trillion VND (274.1 million USD) and 3 billion VND this year, respectively, the corporation said.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Commission for theManagement of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) has asked the VietnamRailways Corporation (VNR) to achieve revenue and after-tax profit of over 6.5trillion VND (274.1 million USD) and 3 billion VND this year, respectively, thecorporation said.

Accordingly, revenue from the provision of publicadministrative services and management and maintenance of national railwayinfrastructure invested in by the State is expected to reach 3.85 trillion VND.

A representative from the State-owned corporation saidthe assigned tasks are within its reach.

In the first half of this year, rail passengertransportation recovered strongly, as reflected through increases in the numberof passengers and monthly turnover as compared with the same period in 2022.  

Last year, the corporation posted a combined revenueof 7.72 trillion VND, up 13.8% year-on-year and surpassing its yearly target by15.8%./.

Air Premia to resume Incheon–Ho Chi Minh City route from November
