Vietnamese official congratulates Lao Front for National Construction on 75th anniversary

Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien has sent a congratulatory letter to the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) on the occasion of its 75th founding anniversary (August 13, 1950–2025).

In his letter to Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of the LFNC Central Committee, Chien extended his warmest greetings and best wishes to the Lao front leader and his organisation.

He said that under the LPRP's clear-sighted leadership and with the front's unwavering commitment to fostering unity among patriotic Lao people from all social strata, the Lao people have reaped numerous significant achievements in national development and defence, with security – politics firmly maintained, economic expansion boosted, and people's material and spiritual life quality unceasingly improved.

Chien highlighted the fruitful ties between the VFF Central Committee and the LFNC Central Committee for the effective implementation of the bilateral cooperaetion agreement and the tripartite memorandum of understanding among the fronts of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. He stated the joint efforts have helped deepen the faithful relations, solidarity, and special friendship shared by the two countries’ Parties, States, and peoples.

The VFF, he said, believes that the LFNC and the Lao people will continue to achieve even greater victories in implementing the resolution adopted at the 11th national congress of the LPRP, advancing toward the goal of building a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified, and prosperous socialist country.

The official concluded the letter by expressing his confidence in the enduring and steadfast Vietnam – Laos special friendship./.
