- Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, on February 10 visited and held a working session with Missile Brigade 490 under the Artillery Corps stationed in the northern province of Hai Duong.

- State President Luong Cuong held a working session with the Presidential Office on February 10 to review the implementation of judicial affairs in 2025, a key responsibility under his mandates prescribed by the Constitution.

At the meeting, the Presidential Office's leader provided updates on preparations for the first session of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform in 2025, the implementation of the amnesty policy on the occasion of major national holidays, and the office’s role in developing judicial reform proposals assigned by the Politburo. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure a favourable environment for business and investment activities of enterprises, making it easier for them to make greater contributions to the nation’s development.

Chairing a meeting between permanent Government members with leaders of businesses on February 10, which aimed to discuss solutions for private enterprises’ acceleration and breakthroughs to promote the country’s rapid and sustainable development in the new era, PM Chinh acknowledged and highly evaluated responsible opinions of delegates, stating that through the meeting, leaders of the Party, State, and ministries, and businesses gained a deeper understanding and shared more. - National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man laid stress on the significance of strengthening the Party building work and carrying out comprehensive reforms within the parliamentary system while presiding the first meeting of the NA Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure in Hanoi on February 10.

- The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has exceeded its business and financial targets in January by maintaining stable, safe, and continuous operations while ensuring the supply of essential products for socio-economic development.

The group still operated throughout the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2025 to sustain production and business momentum. As a result, Petrovietnam surpassed its planned targets in January, with several key indicators showing growth compared to December 2024. Specifically, urea fertiliser production rose by 3.4%, petroleum refining increased by 1.6%, and polypropylene production grew by 4.7%. Read full story

- Vietnam’s index of industrial production (IIP) in January fell 9.2% against the previous month and inched up 0.6% year-on-year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The manufacturing and processing sector grew by 1.6% compared to the same period last year, while electricity production and distribution increased by 0.4% and water supply, waste management, and treatment activities 9.2%. However, the mining sector experienced a decline of 10.4%. Read full story

- One Vietnamese crew member remains missing in the sinking of a 139-tonne ship off the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s coast early February 9 morning, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in the country.

Two Vietnamese crew members who were rescued and are currently receiving treatment at Yeocheon Jeonnam Hospital are in stable condition, the embassy reported./. Read full story
