HCM City hosts international processing, packaging technology exhibition this month

Hanoi (VNA) – The 18th International Exhibition on Processing, Packaging, and Packaging Technology - ProPak Vietnam 2025 will take place from March 18 to 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Vietnam Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Association (VBA).

Covering an area of 13,000 sq.m, ProPak Vietnam 2025 will bring together over 340 exhibitors from 26 countries and territories. Most of the exhibiting companies come from Austria, India, the United Arab Emirates, the Czech Republic, Taiwan (China), Denmark, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, and the US.

VBA Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General Chu Thi Van Anh said that the exhibition is expected to attract hundreds of businesses that are leading global suppliers of materials and technologies for the food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, printing, coding, marking, labelling, laboratory, inspection, cold supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and many other services.

She said despite the impact of global economic fluctuations, the packaging industry continues to rise strongly, promising a sustainable and long-term development future.

In line with global trends, the Vietnamese packaging industry is undergoing significant transformation towards green development, green production, and sustainability.

ProPak Vietnam 2025 will bring breakthrough solutions that help businesses optimise production lines, enhance processing and packaging efficiency, and aim for sustainable development, she said, adding that the Vietnamese packaging sector plays a crucial role in protecting, transporting, and distributing goods efficiently.

According to organisers, ProPak Vietnam 2025 will continue to develop the business matching programme - a platform for direct connections between buyers and suppliers globally. This tool effectively supports businesses in quickly finding suitable partners, expanding their networks, and optimising transaction effectiveness.

There will be a series of international workshops and specialised seminars focusing on updating green technology trends, sustainable production solutions, and important policies to support businesses in adapting to the rapidly transforming economy towards green and sustainable development.

The expo is expected to see over 9,500 visitors./.

HCM City industry firmly on recovery path

State budget revenue up 8.91% in first two months

Between December 15, 2024 and February 14, 2025, 2,440 customs law violations were detected, with the estimated value of confiscated goods amounting to 2.79 trillion VND. Authorities referred 19 cases for prosecution, contributing an additional 133.19 billion VND to the state budget.
